Citroen 2CV - The Duck
On July 27, 1990, the 2CV from the French car company Citroën rolled off the production line for the last time in Mangualde in Portugal. First built in 1948, the car was intended to fulfill a simple development goal of the designers: to transport two people and a hundredweight of potatoes at 60 kilometers per hour and a gasoline consumption of three liters per 100 kilometers. More than 5 million units were built over the next 40 years. Even today, the cult car affectionately known as the "duck" still has many fans and is an eye-catcher on the roads.
